AMP is really the sum of the wonderful network of people and organizations who are supporting our efforts. The list below is by no means comprehensive, and we are continually amazed at the help that we receive from an ever-growing group of partners and other supporters.

Key Advisors

Prof. Jeffrey Sachs

Jeffrey is the Director of the Earth Institute at Columbia University and Special Advisor to the UN Secretary General for the Millennium Development Goals and Director of the Millennium Project, and the resources and influence of the Earth Institute and UN Millennium Project.

Key Partners

Acumen Fund: Under the guidance of director Jaqueline Novogratz, the Acumen Fund, a non-profit organization focused on creating sustainable change to improve the lives of the poor, has two important investments that are influential for AMP:

  • A2Z manufactures the chemically-treated bed nets that we will be distributing. Acumen portfolio manager Rustom Masalawala has been an important aide in our work with A2Z.
  • Satellife sponsors an international network of healthcare professionals, as well as in-country health interventions and data-gathering using PDAs. Director Holly Ladd has provided us with invaluable advice.

Freedom From Hunger: FFH is providing us with the curriculum needed to train mothers in the early diagnosis of malaria.

Greenstar.org: Greenstar builds a solar-powered community center that delivers electricity, pure water, health and education information, and a wireless Internet connection, to villages in the developing world. They've provided us with one of their field laptops to help us in our data-gathering efforts.

MobileMedia: Since we will be tracking the effectiveness of our efforts, we need partners like MobileMedia to provide us with guidance on the most efficient data-gathering techniques.
